Surgery for Ugly Dogs

Sometimes, a dog will be born ugly, as the product of birth defects, natural selection, or an unfortunate breeding combination. These unsightly animals may suffer from having “a face that only a mother could love,” and often, the dog’s owner experiences real difficulty in feeling positive emotion toward the animal.

The tragedy of an aesthetically challenged pet and the resultant difficulty in feeling love for such an animal are real and growing concerns for many in the modern world. In the past, these pitiful creatures and their owners may have been looked down upon by other dogs and people. There is research that even suggests that many cases of animal abuse (both physical and mental) have – as their root cause – an unattractive dog and a pet owner’s inability to come to terms with the cruel realities of anatomical unpleasantry.

Certainly, learning to accept reality is commendable and in many instances desirable, but whether you are a victim of abusing an unappealing animal or are just tired of the prejudices of others, there is no shame in taking advantage of the relief that recent advances in veterinary surgical cosmetic technology can provide.

An ugly dog is certainly loveable, but how much more loveable is an ugly dog who is ugly only on the inside? If you and your pet have suffered the thoughtless comments of others in the park, or have fallen prey to the horrors of abuse brought on by extreme unattractiveness, contact us today. The self-esteem and newfound joy that you and your pet can have will give you both a new “leash” on life!
